Bear Mountain is proud to have previously hosted some prestigious tournaments such as the 2010 Telus World Skins game, and the 2016 & 2017 Pacific Links PGA Champions tour events.

The Bear Mountain Tennis Centre (BMTC) offers eight red clay courts organized in two sets of four court modules and the recently added Bear Mountain Activity Centre (BMAC) rounds out the amenity offerings. The day-to-day environment within the resort community is highly animated with guests, tennis, golf and BMAC members along with residents and vacationers using the amenities as a hub for socializing and relaxing.

**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Working closely with the Mechanic(s), Superintendent, and Assistant Superintendent
- Maintenance and repair of all Golf and Horticulture related equipment
- Daily communication providing updates on equipment, parts, and inventory
- Rotary and reel cutting head maintenance.
- Preventative maintenance
- Small engine repair and maintenance
- Maintains a safe workplace and keeps equipment in safe operating condition
- Maintain shop organization and cleanliness
- Opportunity for challenge and to develop new skills
- General Golf course maintenance based on seasonal demands
- Experience in maintaining automotive, golf course and landscape equipment
- Maintenance and repair experience with 2 and 4 stroke engines
- Reel and rotary mowing unit set up would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of GHS (Global Harmonized System)
- Problem solving skills
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills and the ability to work well with others to promote a cohesive team environment
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must have valid BC Driver’s License
- Willingness to work early mornings

**Job Type**:

- Permanent Full Time, Hourly

**Compensation**:

- Wage range $22.00 - $25.00, negotiable based on experience.

**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
