**Job description**

Northern Security is an innovative, customer-oriented leader in locksmithing, key cutting and security solutions. As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are looking for a conscientious, organized and customer focused Service Coordinator to join our team.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Create work orders and assign work to technicians based on skills, abilities, geographical zones and strategic route planning.
- Coordinate technician’s schedules and allocate the appropriate estimated time on-site.
- Add and update customer information using our customer management software.
- Contact customers to arrange service calls and assess site requirements
- Answer customer questions and follow-up with other department as needed to help expedite work orders.
- Communicate the status of existing work orders to customers, relevant departments and team members.
- Verify completed work orders and ensure all parts and labour are accurate
- Assist technicians and be available for questions
- Work with the sales department to make sure quoted jobs are scheduled properly and any extra parts needed are requested from inventory.
- Make follow-up calls to customers regarding quotes and to confirm appointments.
- Coordinate with administrative staff and other departments for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently and according to specifications.
- Communicate the status of existing work orders to customers, relevant departments and team members.
- Schedule reminder calls and review open work orders and follow-up as necessary.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
- Other duties as required

**Skills, Qualifications and other Requirements**:

- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Problem-solving and research skills
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to sit for extended period of time and in front of a computer
- Available to work 42.5 hours per week
- Bilingualism is an asset

**Experience**:

- Service coordinator: 1 year (preferred)
- Fleet management considered an asset
