**What You’ll Do**:
The Accounts Representative works in a Branch Office and is part of a team that is responsible for collecting, verifying and processing payments and reconciling accounts. The individual supports the Head Office Accounts Representative Team by handling the accounts receivable functions specific to the region it’s respective Branch services.
The individual will perform several day to day operations related to Accounts Receivable. Working under the supervision of the Property and Casualty Underwriting Manager, the individual is responsible to ensure the tasks are completed in an accurate / efficient manner and consistent with company values.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the accurate preparation and mailing of invoices to the client.
- Responsible for the sorting and distribution of mail to the applicable individuals within the team, once it is received from Canada Post.
- Responsible for processing accurate and timely entry of all payments into the billing system
- cash, cheque, credit card, telebanking, Clear Pay (for all billing types).
- Respond to and resolve client’s/broker’s issues and inquiries related to policy billing and Broker accounts.
- Perform accurate and timely processing of bank information changes, payment schedule and withdrawal date changes, payment plan changes, upon request.
- Responsible for processing all daily transactions into the billing system pertaining to broker accounts, including broker printouts.
- Data entry including preparation of coding slips for rejected transactions in order to correct billing on Broker statements and billing system.
- Responsible for posting of all payments to the general ledger, recording all deposits from cash, cheques, credit card payments, telebanking deposits, EFT’s, brokers, claims, fire extinguishers and golf tournaments.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong team player, communicates well and has a solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment in required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Financial services or accounting experience is an asset.
