Toronto, Canada Concrete Cutting Coring AIC Full time

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent - Day/Week

We are a small, dynamic company of 15 employees, and we are looking for a technician in concrete scanning by GPR and location of underground services:
Type of project as much residential, commercial as institutional.

Good attitude, always be on the lookout for new technologies, equipment and techniques.

Very relaxed work environment.

Great autonomy required and must be able to travel to construction sites from time to time.

Company car provided.

Using state-of-the-art equipment, performs the following analyses:

- Concrete scanning by GPR / Ground Penetrating Radar
- Location of underground services by GPR / Ground Penetrating Radar
- Radiodetection for buried conduits
- UPV ultrasonic imaging
- Corrosion survey and mapping
- Reinforcing bar characteristics survey
- Concrete strength and uniformity - Schmidt sclerometer

In addition:

- Interprets project plans, specifications and specifications
- Writes intervention reports
- Communicates with clients, engineers, architects and owners on a regular basis

Experience (Desired):

- Reading plans
- Ontario construction laws and regulations
- Ground Penetrating Radar / GPR Scanning
- Underground Services Detection / Radiodetection
- Ultrasound Imaging

Training (Desired):

- Training in Ground Penetrating Radar / GPR Scanning
- Training in Underground Services Detection / Radiodetection
- Civil Engineering or Construction Technology or other appropriate
- Bachelor's degree (Civil Engineering or other appropriate)

Certificates and other accreditations (Desired):

- General Health and Safety on Construction Sites

Languages:

- English (required)
- French (Desired)
- 3rd Language (Desired)

- Monday to Friday
