**Job summary**:
The Quality Control Scheduler plays a critical role in coordinating and optimizing all testing activities within the Quality Control (QC) laboratories. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the QC testing schedule to ensure test results are available within established timeframes to support manufacturing operations, lot release cycle times, and the stability program. The QC Scheduler is also responsible for monitoring testing progress for each sample or lot and providing clear visibility of status updates within the QC organization and across the site. This role works closely with the manufacturing scheduler and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and adjustments as needed to meet business objectives.
**Responsibilities**:

- Create testing schedules that align with the manufacturing schedule and stability program requirements.
- Coordinate QC resource availability based on production schedules and capacity planning.
- Analyze and monitor lab testing capacity and set testing schedule to minimize capacity constraints. Work with management to proactively manage capacity constraints.
- Develop short term, midterm, and long-term lab capacity supporting 24/5 manufacturing environment.
- Support the QC team in prioritizing work based on product criticality, customer needs, and delivery deadlines.
- Develop, implement, and maintain scheduling processes, systems, and tools to drive efficiency, consistency, and continuous improvement within the QC function.
- Adjust testing schedules as needed based on changes in demand or operational conditions.
- Liaise with QC, procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure adequate materials and resources are available for lab testing.
- Coordinate and schedule non-testing activities (such as instrument maintenance and calibration) that impact the QC areas to maximize up time and reduce impact to supporting departments.
- Launch samples in LIMS.
- Develop and track QC performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management on adherence to schedules and capacity utilization.
- Communicate risks and/or changes that will impact the supply of finished goods.
- Chair daily manager huddle.

Education, Experience & Skills
- 5 years experience as a scheduler in a manufacturing or related environment. Experience in a quality control lab environment is preferred.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling tools (e.g., ERP/MRP systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar software).
- Ability to analyze data, forecast production needs, and solve scheduling conflicts effectively.
- Strong attention to detail for monitoring schedules, inventory, and quality compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in working in a highly regulated industry is preferred.
