About you:
A registered social worker or psychotherapist with a passion in increasing care to a marginalized population dealing with complex life challenges including mental health, addictions, social exclusion, and involvement with the justice system.

The Opportunity:

- A permanent, part-time clinical role, providing in-person counselling to assigned cases referred by the Ministry of the Solicitor General, in a probation and parole office.
- Our Gov't Services Counsellors:
- Support mandated clients by providing medium-term counselling to assigned cases;-
- Communicate on clients' behalf, with express consent, with external professionals;-
- Follow the Government Counselling Services client services model and administrative requirements;-
- Meet the company's contractual obligations to the Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario.- Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology or Social Work;-
- Professional College membership in Ontario;-
- Ability to work with various types of clients presenting a wide variety of issues and good knowledge of local community resources;-
- Strong clinical assessment skills with ability to promote community adaptation and integration;-
- Ability to set short term objectives and work from a strength-based model;-
- Availability to provide support during business hours.Where permitted by law, LifeWorks employees must be fully immunized to access a LifeWorks office or customer premises.
