The HR Advisor will join a progressive, dynamic and collaborative team of Human Resources (HR) professionals. HR supports a large employee base of over 5,000 employees and 5 unions across three hospital sites and off-site programs within the Halton Region.

This HR Advisor will provide front line human resources support, advice and guidance to new and prospective employees, and leaders within an assigned business portfolio. This includes but is not limited to providing advice and coaching on topics such as talent sourcing and acquisition, position control, workforce planning, policy and relevant collective agreement interpretation, job evaluation procedures, salary administration, and general employee relations issues.

**Core Duties**:
Recruitment
- Partner within hiring managers to identify talent needs, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
- Provide advice on the job evaluation process, including but not limited to advice on the external market place and relevant internal comparator information to assist leaders in completing job evaluation requests and new job descriptions. Act as a liaison between the business and the Total Rewards team to facilitate the intake process.
- Build and maintain relationships with university, other hospitals and union partners.
- Assist with the implementing new HR systems and processes to streamline recruitment, onboarding and other HR functions.
- Provide strategic advice and support on recruitment issues, challenges or questions to Leaders.
- Forecast staffing needs and develop proactive sourcing strategies and brand recognition to address potential gaps, this includes: job fairs, networking with niche associations and groups, University/College presence, and support creative marketing strategies.

Employee Relations
- Provide guidance, support and advice to Leaders on policies, practices and basic collective bargaining interpretation.
- Work in collaboration with the different areas of Human Resources on strategic priorities and work on creative solutions.
- Partner with HR Business Partners when issues arise or with grievance resolution.
- Liaise with Union partners on Recruitment related issues or as concerns arise.

**Qualifications**

- Bachelor’s Degree required. Specialization in Human Resources or Industrial Relations preferred
- Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP/L) designation or in the process of obtaining is preferred
- Experience working in a high volume, fast paced HR setting preferred.
- Experience working in both unionized and non-unionized environment required.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Talent sourcing, attraction and acquisition experience required.
- Experience using social media as a sourcing and promotion tool preferred.
- Strong Microsoft 365 suite skills a must
- Solutions focused approach to challenges
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and employees.

**Additional Information** Hours**: Monday to Friday - 8:30am - 4:30pm with ability to flex schedule as required by operational needs.

**Salary**:$38.037 - $47.546 per hour
