**MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN**

Status: Full Time - 32 TO 40 hours per week. Current schedule for this role is Saturday to Wednesday, with Thursdays & Fridays off. Weekends are required in this role.

**The Magnolia Hotel & Spa is Victoria’s Luxury Boutique Hotel.**

We are currently seeking applicants for the position of 1 FULL TIME Maintenance Technician to add to our team.

Ideal applicants will demonstrate this in their passion for customer service, exceptional team work, and ability to deliver inspired anticipatory service to exceed the expectations of each and every guest of The Magnolia.

Maintenance Attendant: This position will perform light maintenance duties to perform guest requested maintenance requirements, as well as proactive and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.

Qualifications:

- Ability to multi-task.
- Personable and friendly with guests and co-workers, and willing to learn service standards appropriate to a 4-5 star hotel environment.
- Experience preferred in maintenance roles an asset.
- Must be able to work all days of week including weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Physically capable of duties associated with housekeeping, maintenance and janitorial work, including regular bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and complete tasks as assigned independently.
- Maintenance experience an asset, such as any experience with painting, caulking, furniture repairs and touch-ups.

THE MAGNOLIA HOTEL IS SUPPORTIVE OF WORKFORCE DIVERSITY AND ENCOURAGES APPLICATIONS FORM ALL QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS.

Salary Range : $26.00 to start, rising to full rate of $28.19 /hour after 6 months.

Current pay rate to start is $26.00 per hour for this role, with scheduled raises at 90 days and 180 days. Higher starting rates may be considered based on proven experience in skills required in role.

Medical & Dental benefits provided after probationary period.

Schedule: This role is currently scheduled Saturday through Wednesday, 40 hours per week. Saturday and Sunday shifts WILL be required in this position.

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
