**Main Purpose of the Role**

Reporting to DC Supervisor the Warehouse Operative will ensure timely fulfillment and dispatch of all daily customer orders. In conjunction with the customer service team to ensure that the customers’ requirements for speed and service are met.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with customer service team to ensure timely delivery of customer orders
- Regular communication with DC supervisor on process improvements
- Carry out regular inventory checks and communicate results
- Lifting, Picking, packing and dispatching of frames, cases, finished jobs, contact lenses, consumables etc.
- Receiving and put away of inbound deliveries.
- Palletizing and depalletizing stock as required.
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers with fork lift and pallet jacks as required.
- Ensure quality of presentation and accuracy of contents of all outgoing cartons to customers
- Perform your duties in a manner that complies with health and safety standards and procedures.
- Participate in improvement initiatives when required to meet Specsavers’ continuous improvement philosophy.
- Complete any other reasonable tasks assigned by your manager
- Meeting the set KPIs
- Championing the Specsavers values.
- RF scanning experience is mandatory for this role
- Operating forklift as needed in a safe and appropriate manner; forklift license is mandatory

**Essential Skills**:

- Previous warehouse or stock handling experience an advantage
- Good communication skills at all levels
- Computer literate
- Basic numeracy
- Being able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
