Customers include flight schools, commercial businesses, government operations and private pilots while providing a wide variety of engines around the globe, such as North America, Austria, Australia, and Egypt.

The Finance Manger will report to the Controller and collaborate with other Managers in other departments. They will be responsible for facilitating the company's financial operations including ensuring accuracy and completeness of month end reports, year-end financial records, and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves managing the accounting clerk and office administrator, performing detailed account analysis, cashflow forecasting, budget planning, and support for strategic financial planning.

**Requirements, Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong background in accounting with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- CPA designation, strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in using software programs, including Excel.
- Experience working with the ERP system is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- HR experience would be an asset.

**Responsibilities**:

- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, including month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collection of overdue accounts.
- Investigating open credits or debits.
- Managing customer prepayments / deposits.
- Account Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of all accounts and entries including inventory, work in progress and engine inventory.
- Payroll processing through Payworks software.
- HST filing.
- Assisting other Managers with HR.
- Account Management: Supervise accounts payable and receivables while executing necessary tasks and transactions to meet monthly reporting deadlines. Responsibilities include overseeing the management of the bookkeeper’s duties such as:

- Recording of day-to-day financial transactions.
- Reconciling of bank accounts, vendor, and credit card statements.
- Ensuring accurate records of accounts payable and receivable are maintained.
- Reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Preparing monthly statements.
- Asset Management: Manage asset portfolios, including tracking and maintaining a comprehensive list of vehicle leases, building leases and financial obligations.
- Capital Asset Management: Handle capital asset management.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Budgeting and Planning: Prepare financial budgeting, planning and subsequent reporting as needed.
- Annual Compilation and Coordination: Support annual coordination with external accountants helping provide necessary documentation.
- Help implement best practices and standardize processes while also utilizing the newly implemented ERP system to its full potential.
- Miscellaneous: Perform other duties as assigned.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 to 5 or 9 to 5

**Salary**: $70,000 to $100,000
