**Job Title**: Snow Removal Equipment Operator - Skid steer - Loader - Ag Tractor - Dump Truck - Plow Truck - Sand Truck
Position Type: on-call Reports to: Snow Operator Route Managers
Purpose: Livingstone Landscaping Ltd. provides snow removal services to for sanding, emergency access and snow removal for residential and commercial properties properties. During snow events of 1 inch or greater accumulation, equipment operators are required. This role is an on call role for all 1 inch or more events. Priority shifts will be given to dependable individuals that have open availability and communicate efficiently.
This position is great for anyone who is laid-off for the winter months, working part time, or working shift work and looking for some extra hours over the winter season.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Answer call-ins on snow days
- Operate equipment safely to clear snow from driveways/parking lots OR haul snow away from sites
- Operate equipment/trucks in residential space with knowledge of surroundings (cars, pedestrians, homes)
- Perform pre-trip inspections, route paperwork and safety documentation
- Demonstrates a level of interest in successful job completion
- Maintains equipment and truck to standards
- Reliable and dependable attendance
- Ability to successfully park trucks and equipment (backing into parking spaces)
- Demonstrates good communication and asks questions
- Strong team player attitude
- Shows great attention to detail and performing quality work
Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- Valid class 5F Driver’s license for Operators (Class 3 considered an asset)
- Valid Class 3A Driver’s license for Dump Truck
- Proven experience operating any of the above equipment
- Ability to pass a practical test of equipment operation/ driving
**Work Conditions**:
The duties of the Snow Removal Equipment Operator are carried out in an outdoor environment
- Ability to perform work in adverse weather conditions including cold and inclement weather such as blizzards, sleet, low visibility, icy etc., heavy traffic and equipment noise, and close proximity to moving vehicles.
- This work operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays when required
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs (daily)
- Ability to cross on uneven ground (daily)
- Long hours (which may include 10 hours or more per working day)
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, and bending
- Manual dexterity is required through safe and proper operation of hand tools, power tools, motor vehicles and construction equipment.
**Psychological/Stress Conditions**:
The Snow Removal Equipment Operator’s position workload and environment does not generally increase employee emotional or stress levels.

- Multitasking (daily).
- Job demands versus time constraints (daily).
- Traffic density
