**ABOUT ELECTIONS MANITOBA**

Elections Manitoba is an independent office committed to maintaining the integrity and fairness of provincial elections, by-elections, and referendums in Manitoba. Operating free from political influence, it ensures that all eligible citizens have the opportunity to vote. The office actively promotes public awareness of the voting process and helps political participants comply with election rules. The mission of Elections Manitoba is to protect the democratic rights of all Manitobans by conducting free and fair elections, thereby enhancing public confidence and awareness of the electoral process. The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), who must remain non-partisan and does not vote in elections, oversees the administration of provincial elections to ensure they are fair and impartial.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- The incumbent must be, and remain, politically non-partisan in both perception and fact.
- Must provide and maintain a satisfactory criminal record check.
- Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends and overtime as required to meet operational needs.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- **Essential**:_
- Post-secondary education in the field of adult education, public administration or related field or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing training material such as PowerPoint decks, operational manuals, guides, resources including creating e-courses and/or training programs, including those which use infographics, interactive tools such as animated videos and graphics.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to diverse audience and stakeholders.
- Extensive project management and strong organizational skills, including the ability to work under pressure, with limited supervision, managing multiple priorities in tight timeframes.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong political acumen with the ability to manage confidential, controversial and politically sensitive material and situations with tact and diplomacy.
- **Desired**_:

- Knowledge of Manitoba’s rural and northern communities, including an awareness of specific needs relating to de-centralized service delivery.
- Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in French.

**DUTIES**:
The Training Officer is accountable for managing, designing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating electoral event training programs and initiatives. This position will also support corporate learning deliverables and continuous development opportunities for new and existing headquarters (HQ) staff and temporary employees. This position will be the lead authority for electoral operations training materials and will support corporate onboarding and regular training content.
