**SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the principal duties of a Housekeeper I (1) is to assist in the day-to-day operations, reactive and routine housekeeping duties, and minor maintenance in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.

This is a Casual On-call position. You will not have set work shifts but will be asked to fill work shifts at various times and days based on your availability.

You are responsible for cleaning floors by washing, scrubbing and polishing floors by utilizing auto scrubbers, burnishers and carpet cleaning equipment; cleaning washroom areas by washing and disinfecting all floors, toilets, sinks, counters and mirrors and replenishing toilet tissue and soap as required. Clean over 12 foot high windows using a tucker pole. Dust furniture, baseboards and fixtures; wash all finger marks from walls, doors, hardware and glass; empty all waste and recycling containers and place waste/recycling items in the appropriate outside storage bins. Clean and disinfect all horizontal surfaces such as furniture, workstations, woodwork, blinds, fixtures and fittings by dusting, damp wiping and polishing as required. High dust and low dust as required to meet Cleaning Outcome Standards. Clean and polish elevators and clean shower rooms.

This is a unionized position with PPWC

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Previous cleaning experience.
- Experience with standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment.
- Knowledge and training in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System.
- Ability to pass a RRS Government Security Clearance process.

**HOURS OF WORK**: On-Call

**COMPENSATION**: Hourly rate of from $19.49 per the Collective Agreement
