The Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising the in-house service technicians, managing subcontractors, scheduling service work and projects, and ensuring the ordering of materials and equipment.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Create work schedules for in-house service technicians.
- Responsible for scheduling jobs using sub-contractors.
- Supervise technicians, monitor their day-to-day performance, and track their time for payroll.
- Ensure technicians work safely as per WCB standards and Dogwood’s health & safety policy.
- Support and motivate the technicians’ team to consistently meet deadlines and standards of quality within budget.
- Identify areas of improvement and address any work-related concerns directly with technicians.
- Escalate any major issues with technicians to management and/or HR.
- Responsible for communicating all relevant information between clients and technicians.
- Responsible for creating new client accounts.
- Communicate effectively with clients and all team members.
- Track service work and small projects from start to finish.
- Responsible for ordering materials and supplies for service work and for small to medium size projects.
- Responsible for calculating time and materials on workorders and preparing them for invoicing.
- Responsible for scheduling repairs and maintenance on tools and equipment.
- General administrative tasks.
- Share on-call responsibility according to the established rotation schedule.
- Performs other tasks as assigned from time to time.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Collaborate with HR on interviewing and hiring new field staff
- Responsible for new employee orientations
- Provide supervision, guidance and mentorship to the technicians’ team
- Provide input for the team’s performance evaluations

**QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS**:
**Required Training/Experience**:

- 5 years of dispatching experience as a coordinator within the construction or trades industry
- 2+ years of supervisory responsibilities

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Salesforce and customer portals an asset
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to solve problems efficiently
