The Expo Food Runner will work closely with the kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure exceptional customer service and seamless operations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Food Running: Retrieve prepared food items from the kitchen and deliver them to the appropriate tables in a timely and efficient manner.
- Order Accuracy: Verify that the items being delivered match the customer's order, ensuring accuracy and quality at all times.
- Communication: Collaborate with the kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth coordination and prompt delivery of food orders.
- Table Set-Up: Assist in setting up tables by arranging utensils, napkins, condiments, and any other necessary items prior to serving the food.
- Food Presentation: Ensure that all food items are presented in an appealing and appetizing manner, paying attention to garnishes and overall plate presentation.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the expo area, including food storage areas, serving trays, and any other relevant equipment.
- Special Requests and Modifications: Communicate any special requests or modifications from customers to the kitchen staff, ensuring that the orders are prepared accordingly.
- Guest Satisfaction: Address any customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints promptly and courteously, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Teamwork: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by assisting team members when needed and supporting overall restaurant operations.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
**Requirements**:
- Previous Experience: Prior experience as a food runner or in a similar role is preferred, but not required. Willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 pounds).
- Excellent Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with both customers and team members is crucial.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of orders and the presentation of food.
- Time Management: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple orders simultaneously.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, displaying excellent customer service skills.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operational needs.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with basic food safety and sanitation practices is an advantage.
