The Edmonton EXPO Centre is looking for **Temporary Kitchen Stewards **who will be vital to executing the events held at the venue. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to contribute to world-class events, this may be your role

Note: This is a temporary position and employment will be approximately from July - August.

- Conducting routine cleaning of the food preparation area, Pastry Shop, Hot Kitchen area, kitchen equipment and tools, floors, walls, ceilings, gutters, and hoods or kitchen areas.
- Maintaining waste by ensuring all waste is disposed of efficiently per their categories: compost, garbage, used cooking oil, recycling, and cardboard.
- The cleanliness of ware washing room.
- Supporting EXPO’s sustainability commitment by adhering to waste sorting guidelines
- Minimum 1 Year experience working in a Hotel/Convention setting with medium to large commercial kitchen
- The ability to stand for long periods, lift 70lbs, and work in an environment with upwards to 90 decibels.
- The ability to work independently within a team, but also collaboration with other departments such as Bars, Banquets, Housekeeping, Culinary and Event Services.
- The availability to work mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.
