**Now Hiring: Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA)**
**Location**: Ottawa and surrounding area
**Position Type**: Independent contractor, flexible hours

Speech-Language Ottawa is seeking a creative, client and family-focused CDA to join our team. In this role, you’ll work with children and/or adults in homes, daycares, schools, community spaces, and virtually, helping to build meaningful communication skills that support real-life success.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Providing one-on-one therapy to preschoolers, school-aged children, and/or adults in their homes, community settings, and virtually
- Implementing individualized treatment goals under the supervision of an SLP
- Creating fun, engaging sessions based on client interests and strengths
- Coaching families and caregivers to support skill development at home
- Collaborating with other professionals on the client’s care team
- Keeping clear and timely documentation of sessions and progress

**What We’re Looking For**
- A graduate of an accredited CDA program and registered with CDAAC
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while seeking support when needed
- Able to follow SLP-led treatment plans while bringing creativity and initiative to sessions
- Eligible for professional liability insurance
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check

**Bonus (But Not Required)**
- Bilingual in English and French
- Experience working with autistic clients or those with other developmental needs
- 1+ year of experience as a CDA (we’re also happy to hear from motivated new grads)
