Procurement Assistant

**Job Summary**
The Procurement Administration will provide administrative support to the Procurement Specialist. In this role, the Procurement Administration will monitor inventory, update reports, communicate with vendors and clients any required product information. The incumbent must be highly organized and able to show tact and maintain confidentiality. The general hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 7am - 3pm, however overtime may be required on an as-needed basis based on business needs. This position will be based out of the Milton facility.
**Job Duties**
- Communicate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of products
- Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
- Updating Inventory reports for the Procurement Specialist
- Issuing Purchase Orders to vendors and working with the accounting department to ensure suppliers are paid
- Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
- Daily review of inventory to ensure correct counts and FIFO is being followed, issuing manual orders when/if required to flow through inventory
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
- Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
- Supporting Procurement Specialist in other tasks as necessary
- Other duties relevant to the position will be assigned as required.
**Requirements**:
- 2-3 years of working experience in a similar role
- Able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
- Strong Microsoft Suite skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
**Working Conditions**
- Manual dexterity required to use computer and peripherals
- Overtime may be required
- Sitting for long periods
- Flexibility with hours, on call during holidays/weekends
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
