The Kingsway Animal Hospital is looking for a receptionist to fill a **permanent part-time Front Desk Staff position** **(approx. 20 hours/week).**
- Loves animals and displays compassion when providing care to clients and patients.
- Enjoys working with a team, and maintains a positive and co-operative work environment.
- Demonstrates accountability, dependability and initiative to carry out tasks independently.
- Demonstrates judgement and problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- The role of front desk staff is to welcome clients and guide them through the client path, as denoted on the clinic workflow sheet.
- Front desk staff work as a valued part of the team, to provide the best possible medical care for our patients, to empower clients with knowledge, and to help ensure that the business aspects of the clinic run smoothly.
- Staff need to be knowledgeable about the clinic, its systems and procedures, have a practical knowledge of veterinary care, and help support building the relationships with clients that is one of the strengths of the clinic.
- Proficiency with standard veterinary software, computer programs is required, as is the ability to learn new programs.
- Professional telephone and in-person communication skills required.
- Pay to be commensurate with experience; includes access to health and dental benefits. Uniforms provided.
