We are a thriving and dynamic ski, board, and bike shop known for our passion for outdoor sports and commitment to providing top-notch gear and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Store Manager.
**Position Overview**:
As the Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the overall success of our shop. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing a team of dedicated staff, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned retail professional with a love for the outdoors and a proven track record in store management.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Team Leadership**: Lead, inspire, and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
- **Operations Management**: Oversee day-to-day operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and ensuring a clean and organized store environment.
- **Customer Experience**: Foster a customer-centric culture by ensuring that every customer interaction exceeds expectations. Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
- **Sales and Performance Metrics**: Set and achieve sales targets, monitor key performance indicators, and implement strategies to drive sales growth.
- **Product Knowledge**: Stay up-to-date on the latest ski equipment, apparel, and accessories to provide expert advice to customers and staff.
- **Vendor Relations**: Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, negotiate terms, and manage product orders to ensure a well-stocked inventory.
- **Marketing and Promotions**: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotions, events, and marketing initiatives to drive traffic to the store. Contribute to our social media presence with regular posts.
- **Staff Training**: Conduct regular training sessions and arrange for vendor-led product knowledge sessions for staff to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
**What You Bring to the Slopes**: To carve your way into our team, here's what we'd love to see:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail management in a ski or outdoor sports setting.
- Experience tuning and waxing skis and snowboards
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Passion for skiing and knowledge of ski equipment and apparel.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Experience working with bikes is not a requirement but is an asset
