**Responsibilities**:
- Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical malfunctions and equipment using various test instruments; maintain and repair mechanical systems; test mechanical equipment for safety and efficiency; fabricate mechanical parts; participates in the maintenance and operation of mechanical tools and equipment used by the operation- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical systems including motors, controls, scales, and other equipment- Test & monitor mechanical systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem- Ensures the proper function of mechanical safety devices- Installs, troubleshoots and repairs new equipment and systems- Monitors’ work done for adherence to legislated requirements- Assists in the writing of specifications for repairs and new construction- Maintains appropriate service and repair records- Analyze and responds safely and appropriately to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service- Follows blueprints to determine the location of equipment and to conform to the building and safety codes- Any other duties as assigned by management

**Basic Requirements**:
- High School Graduate or GED equivalency- Department of Labour certificate for a Licensed Industrial Mechanical Millwright- Minimum 4 years or 8000 hours of on-the-job millwright maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment- Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized maintenance management systems; strong leadership and Total Productive Maintenance experience; Six Sigma training is a plus- Prior experience demonstrating effective leadership skills- Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic- Fluency in spoken and written English

**Knowledge**:
- Knowledge of mechanical components and how they work- Knowledge of safety procedures and precautions to be observed in the maintenance and installation of mechanical equipment- The ability to advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous- Knowledge of the mining process and equipment associated with such (pumps, bearing, compressors, valves, conveyors, crushing and screening equipment, mobile equipment, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems, etc.)- Knowledge of materials, tools, equipment and systems used in the mechanical trade- Knowledge of regulations pertaining to the mechanical trade.- Knowledge of the methods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment- Knowledge of providing estimates for: time, cost and materials for mechanical projects

**Skills**:
- Ability to operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely- Ability to install, maintain, and repair mechanical apparatuses- Ability to carry out detailed, written or oral instructions- Excellent math skills required- Demonstrated ability to assess organizational and people issues, provide coaching and mentoring, and deliver solutions that improve facility performance- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, strong organization and prioritization skills-
- Establishes and maintains highly productive working relationships across the organization with all groups within the region and the company; demonstrating respect for conflicting points of view, listens to others, and builds strong working relationships- Demonstrates good computer skills i.e. word, basic excel, maintenance programs and SAP an asset- Uses quality management skills to ensure all procedures and work activities conform to work specifications and standards- Demonstrates the ability to work autonomously with an emphasis on being results oriented- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions- Ability to write simple correspondence and present information to other employees
