Accounts Payable Representative

Genumark headquarters is the 42,000 square foot sales and distribution facility located at 707 Gordon Baker Road in Toronto.

We are currently seeking a **Full-Time Accounts Payable Representative** to join our Toronto office team.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for performing various Accounts Payable duties, including processing, verifying and reconciling invoices; matching invoices for signatures and approval; issuing and completing payments; producing cheques or electronic payment files; as well as document filing in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. This role will require the ability to work with multiple accounting teams and systems.

**RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO**:

- Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
- Processing accounts and incoming/outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Understand expense accounts and cost centres
- Understand compliance issue around accounts payable processes
- Assist in the Health & Safety program by ensuring that section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) are being followed; conduct employee training and accident investigations; coordinate Health & Safety training within the department
- May be required to perform additional and/or different responsibilities as set forth above

**HERE’S WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE**:

- Must have completed minimum Grade 12 education; post-secondary education preferred
- Minimum two years experience in Accounts Payable, bookkeeping, Accounts Receivable and/or general Accounting
- Proficient and hands on working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office 2016+ software - specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as using the Internet as a research tool
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to understand, speak and write English in order to communicate effectively using tact and diplomacy is required
- Think “outside the box”, be pro-active, problem solve and suggest corrective course of action
- Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail; able to manage multiple assignment simultaneously with conflicting deadlines
- Accounts Receivable experience is great but not required
- Must have employment eligibility in Canada

**COMPENSATION**:
$46,000 - $48,000 annually
