The Patient Care Assistant will perform duties related to the preparation and post exam care of patients for CT and MRI studies.

Accountabilities:

- Customer service
- Ensuring patient completion of pre-screening documents
- Intravenous insertion where indicated
- Providing instructions to patients such as waiting or changing into a gown
- Duties also include basic patient care

**Qualifications**
- Graduate of certified medical laboratory assistant program or equivalent program including venipuncture
- Medical terminology
- Venipuncture experience required
- CPR certification an asset
- Customer service skills
- Knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures, terminology and workflow including CT and MRI an asset
- Knowledge of diagnostic imaging computer systems an asset (i.e. PACS, RIS, HIS)
- Knowledge of MRI safety and radiation safety practices an asset
- Previous training on safe lifting and transferring techniques an asset
- Computer knowledge
- Multi-tasking ability/critical thinking/problem solving
- Team player/excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills, able to prioritize
- Ability to work in a fast paced and inter-professional team environment
- Innovative and willing to learn
- Demonstrate individual leadership
- Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration

**Additional Information**

SALARY:
Minimum: $30.49 per hour
Maximum: $35.15 per hour
