We are seeking an Accounts Payable team member who thrives on accuracy, efficiency, and proactive problem-solving. This role is critical to keeping our operations running smoothly by ensuring that vendor payments are processed on time and without error, while working closely with internal teams to support the broader supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently process accounts payable transactions, ensuring all invoices are reviewed, matched, and paid on schedule.
- Maintain detailed and organized financial records, saving all invoices, reports, receipts, and checks in the appropriate systems.
- Reconcile vendor statements regularly and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues or clarify information.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Logistics, and Operations to ensure seamless communication regarding shipments, deliveries, and invoice approvals.
- Handle supplier inquiries in a timely, courteous, and solution-focused manner.
- Consistently meet deadlines while maintaining 100% accuracy and attention to detail.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
- A high level of attention to numerical accuracy and detail with quick, efficient keyboarding skills including key pad number entry.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Strong communication skills; both verbally and written and able to explain, clarify, and collaborate both internally and externally.
- Proactive and solution-oriented with the judgment to ask for clarification when needed.
- Experience with account reconciliation, vendor management, and accounting software.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and other financial systems.
- A team player who understands that successful outcomes require interdepartmental collaboration.
- Motivated to continually expand knowledge and grow within the role.
