As a Project Field Technician you will be dispatched by our Dispatcher/PM and will work on-site in our clients’ offices to providing senior or emergency field support, install new project hardware (firewalls, switches, and servers), Collaborate and scope new offices or cleanups, and perform proactive tasks. Between onsite Project field work you will work from happier IT’s King George office (or hybrid from home), on Project tickets.

In this position, you will work from our office on King George Highway, and at client sites in/around the greater Vancouver area.

You will be required to be onsite when needed and be dispatched for field at any time and must be available to be onsite at any time.

Remote work can be performed when you are not needed in our service centre or onsite.

**Responsibilities**:

- Drive to clients’ sites and perform service at their sites (using your own vehicle, mileage is reimbursed)
- Arrive on-time as scheduled at sites
- Perform assigned work
- Reactive Support
- Mentoring less senior field and project techs
- Install new equipment
- Perform proactive service tasks/visits
- Install switches, waps, firewalls, and servers
- Perform Server room clean ups and office moves
- Onboard new clients
- Between on-site visits you will work as a member of our Project team
- Provide impeccable customer service
- Do emergency and Vacation coverage for our Field and Service centre team (with your own vehicle, mileage is reimbursed)
- Do Senior field visits acting as both technical and relationship building
- Ensure timely, precise, evidence-based documentation of all support activities
- Verify and update all documentation pertaining to each incident you work
- Collaborate with your team members and work together to help each other solve incidents
- Maintain an appropriate level of communication with clients and internal stakeholders for each incident you work
- Follow standardized procedures and create new procedures when required
- You will work on-site at clients places of work and from our King George office
- You will occasionally be required to work outside of your normal business hours and on weekends (using your own vehicle, mileage is reimbursed)
- You will be on our afterhours rotation after your 3 month probation

**Requirements**:

- Fluent, clear spoken English
- Excellent written English (to create clear, concise, client-facing communications)
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and triage your ongoing projects with your outside work
- Must have your own vehicle for emergency dispatch (during working and outside of working hours)
- Valid BC Drivers License
- Active Work Visa or Canadian resident

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
