Overview: Spacelabs Healthcare Canada Inc. is a leading supplier of Patient Monitoring and Cardiology products to the Canadian Hospital and Physician Office communities. Spacelabs Healthcare Canada is a subsidiary of our Seattle based parent organization. **_ **We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team and will cover the Vancouver, Canada region **_** This individual will work independently with very limited supervision and will perform field service functions by installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and servicing all security products at customer sites. Typically handles complex products and more complex problems as needed. **Responsibilities**: - Provide service support to regional customers by installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining x-ray security systems using built-in diagnostics and external test equipment. - Perform and document all maintenance activities. - Diagnose errors or technical problems, repairs or replaces defective units/ components as appropriate. - Set up and utilize specialized test and diagnostic equipment to isolate malfunctions. - Conduct equipment/system acceptance testing following established procedures. - Conduct and comprehend customer requirements, trainings, and recommendations/briefings as needed. - Perform system demonstrations at customer sites and foster positive customer relationships. - Prepare and document the details of resolution to the problem from each customer site upon completion of the visit. Enter information into Navision, as well as an internally designed database accurately and on time. - Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork. - Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct. - It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem. - Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business. Qualifications: - HS Diploma or equivalent. - Technical school and/or military training in electronics engineering technology perferred. - Minimum of 7 years of Field Service experience, with a strong desire to learn X-ray. - Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assemblies, as well as wiring diagrams and schematics required. - Knowledge of complex mechanical systems, familiarity with test equipment (DVM and oscilloscope) and experience with High Voltage and X-ray producing equipment preferred. - Customer interface and communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Willingness to work overtime as requested and non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays. - Must be team player with ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with mínimal oversight. - Must be available to travel on short notice, non-standard hours, travel on weekends, and assist other field sites as required. - Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds. - Physical Requirement - The physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met by a field service technician to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. - Requires ability to: - Walk = 20% -25% - Stand = 35%-40% - Stoop = 20%-25% - Squat = 15%-20% - Kneel = 35%-40% - Reach = 15% -20% - Bend = 10%-15% - Sit = 25%-30% - Climb =
