**Job Experience**

**Job Roles/Duties**
- Arriving to site on time to disarm the facility alarm panels;
- Monitor surveillance equipment;
- Identify, monitor, and report security issues;
- Patrol facility and its property to identify any risks to safety and security;
- Respond to emergencies and alarms in a timely and effective manner;
- Hold various security audits;
- Conduct interior and exterior access point and lock checks;
- Control and document access of persons entering/exiting the facility;
- Prevent/deter internal theft;
- Reviewing requested security footage;
- Programming access cards;
- Responding in a polite and professional manner to all requests regarding entry to the facility;
- Light maintenance work as necessary - e.g. minor snow removal and salting;
- Basic receptionist duties - e.g. greeting visitors and accepting deliveries
**Physical Demands**
While performing the responsibilities of the on-call security job, the employee is required to be on site prior to the arrival of general staff and sit for extended periods of time. Walking, climbing stairs, standing, and moving items up to 25lbs are occasionally required. The employee must wear the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to complete a part of their job functions in the operating areas. The company reserves the right to modify PPE requirements based on regulatory, compliance and operational needs.
**Workplace Environment**
The on-call security position is primarily a front desk/office environment but may be required to perform duties within the operating areas of the facility and potentially be exposed to unprocessed cannabis products/supplies. The greenhouse and manufacturing environment can be temperate, noisy, and dusty at times. Staff are provided with the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and they must adhere to legal requirements regarding PPE to manage their own personal safety and minimize contamination within the controlled environment under these conditions. Shifts will be scheduled from 5:00AM - 3:00PM.
**Job Requirements**:
- Must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard License;
- Must have First Aid - CPR certificate;
- Must either be a graduate of a 2+ year post-secondary school diploma/degree in a related field, or have 2+ year experience in a related security field;
- Punctuality is expected and mandatory;
- Must have strong communication skills;
- Obtain a full G class driver’s license;
- Ability to complete incident/status reports;
- Familiarity with the Avigilon system or other CCTV security tools is considered an asset;
- Must provide professional references
