**Role**
Ten Ten Sinclair Housing Inc. is currently looking for Healthcare Aides for these shifts: Casuals, Weekend On-Call

**Casuals**
Casual employees fill-in shifts when scheduled employees are unable to attend their shift. Daytime, Evening, and Overnight casuals shifts are available at all of our locations. This will include covering for sick time, vacations, and statutory holidays.

**Weekend On-Call**
Weekend On-Call employees will carry a company cell phone during the weekend. They will be available to fill in any shift as needed. If the On-Call is not needed during the weekend the On-Call employee will be guaranteed 8 hours of pay.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have a current criminal record check with vulnerable sector search (within six months)
- Minimum Grade 12. University courses are an asset.
- Health Care Aide Certification (from acceptable institution) is an asset.
- Experience working with people with disabilities in a community setting a definite asset.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
- Genuine interest and concern for persons with physical disabilities.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality both personally and within PHIA legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Must be physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position.

**Skills**
- Knowledge of the Independent Living Philosophy.
- Organizational and problem solving skills.
- Ability to accept responsibility, show good judgment and initiative.

**Duties**
- Assist tenants in the performance of the activities of daily living
- Meal Preparation and Meal Assistance
- Suite Housekeeping
- Laundry

**Personal care including**:

- Washing, Bathing/Showering
- Toileting & Routines
- Dressing
- Grooming & Hygiene

**Transfers & Repositioning**:

- Using mechanical lifts
- Sliding boards
- Repositioning Sheet

**Salary**

As per CUPE 4376 Collective Agreement $15.78-$17.14 per hour plus shift premiums for evenings, overnights, and weekends Time and a half for all statutory holidays
- Note: the Collective Agreement is currently in negotiations *
