**Private Care Attendant - Dementia Experience Required (Companion Role)**

We have a rewarding opportunity for a **Private Care Attendant** to provide companionship and assistance to a client in need of personalized support. If you have a passion for helping others and enjoy being part of meaningful outings, this role may be the perfect fit for you.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Companion Care**: Provide companionship, engage in stimulating conversations, and offer emotional support
- **Transportation**: Pick up from a care facility, assist with appointments, family visits, and outings (using client's vehicle)
- **Personal Care Assistance**: Assist with showering, toileting, and other personal care tasks as needed
- **Patient Redirection**: Use patience and compassion to effectively redirect behaviors and manage any challenges that arise
- **Flexibility**: Be willing to stay longer if necessary to ensure comfort and well-being

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience with Dementia Care**: Previous experience working with dementia patients is required
- **CPR and First Aid Certification** (updated)
- **Valid Driver's License & Reliable Vehicle** for transportation needs
- **Patience & Compassion**: Must demonstrate empathy and the ability to redirect when necessary
- **Flexibility** to adapt to changing schedules and needs

**Position Details**:

- **Job Type**: Part-Time
- **Shift Length**: 4-6 hours per shift
- **Wage**: $17 - $21 per hour, based on experience

Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
