**The Role**

Reporting to the VP People & Culture and supporting an incredible group of people, the HR/Office Coordinator will touch every aspect of the employee experience function.

You will assist with day-to-day tasks by developing, planning, implementing and maintaining all aspects of the HR and office functions across our physical and digital workspaces. With a strong customer-focused mindset, you are passionate about creating seamless office operations and driving high employee engagement.

You will provide process efficiency and support to WISI’s internal stakeholders and help to streamline the Human Resources processes and department output. An important part of your role will be to act as a liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communications and prompt resolution of requests and questions.

**Responsibilities**
- Take charge of general, day to day office operations, including office supply management by anticipating and preparing required office orders as well as completing regular inventory checks of essential stock items to avoid running out of supplies, swag or equipment.
- Collection and distribution of mail.
- Ensure all areas of the office (meeting rooms, common areas, kitchen etc.) are tidy, functional, and comfortable so our team can work happily and productively.
- Foster an ongoing calendar of purpose-aligned employee experiences by proactively seeking opportunities for connection, actively participating in committees and organizing events (town halls, strategy meetings, lunch & learns, celebrations, etc. in person and virtual).
- Maintain office facilities and equipment and contact IT when necessary.
- Act as the main point of contact for all visitors, making guests at WISI feel welcome when they arrive.
- Liaise with building management, office neighbors and vendors regarding maintenance issues as they arise.
- Manage cleaners and cleaning schedules.
- Providing administrative support to the VP People & Culture for all aspects of the employee lifecycle - including maintenance of benefits plans, leaves, onboarding & offboarding, drafting, posting and maintaining job advertisements on our HRIS (BambooHR), various job boards and social media as well as the coordination of interviews.
- Support with exceptional new hire experiences by organizing pre-hire activities, preparing new hire packages and facilitating new hire orientation as well as the continuous improvement of the onboarding process and coordination of learning experiences.
- Provides HR reports and information as required.
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate documentation, policies and employee information in our HRIS (BambooHR).
- Assist with the development, implementation and administration of HR & cultural initiatives including reward & recognition programs, Great Place To Work certification, employer branding and communications to increase employee engagement and morale.
- Support employee health, safety and wellbeing by being part of the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC), developing employee communications, delivery of training and assisting with corrective actions.
- Assist with Ad Hoc HR/office projects

**Requirements**:

- HR designation or working towards completion.
- 1-2 years’ proven Human Resources experience ideally in a tech-based environment.
- 1-2 years’ experience in an office coordination/management role.
- Experience with HRIS systems (bonus if its BambooHR).
- First Aid level 1 or willingness to obtain this.
- A self-starter and independent but knows how to take direction or ask for help.
- Knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
