**What you’ll do**

The Associate Product Manager will work with stakeholders to fully understand our business goals and users' needs and use this knowledge to drive improvements and growth in a defined product area.

**We are a hybrid office, with team member working from home and in the office. This role requires availability to come into our Vancouver office and work during the Pacific Standard Time zone business hours.**

**Your responsibilities**

Product Roadmap
- Work closely with senior product management to understand the product vision and market.
- Suggest product enhancements to improve the user experience and business outcomes.
- Liaise with user experience, research, and support teams to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Work collaboratively with engineering leaders to maintain a thorough knowledge of product capabilities and understand implementation effort and potential risks.
- Publish and maintain a prioritized development roadmap for your product area.
- Decompose initiatives and epics into smaller pieces and groom and manage your product backlog.
- Collate and disseminate insights from customer data to drive product planning.
- Stay informed of market trends and competitor offerings to ensure our product is competitive and relevant.

Product Delivery
- Translate incremental product priorities into executable product requirements through user stories, use cases, and non-functional requirements, and facilitate cross-functional reviews.
- Develop a shared understanding of features between product management, user experience, and engineering.
- Within a defined scope, work with stakeholders to prioritize the implementation of features and set timelines.
- Conduct acceptance testing to ensure that delivered features meet requirements and are ready for release.
- Participate in post-launch validation (smoke tests, etc.).

Product Validation
- Support senior product management in ensuring users' successful adoption of features.
- Collect and monitor data post-launch to assess and validate feature usage and impact.

**What we're looking for**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical skills and experience
- 4+ years of experience in a product management role in a SaaS company
- English language proficiency, proactive and precise written and verbal communication to a variety of audiences
- A “people person” who takes the initiative and collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams
- A self-starter with good instincts, strong time management skills, follow-through and drive
- A naturally curious person who is eager to learn and invests time to understand complex concepts
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and comfortable sorting through data and using it to make data-driven decisions

**Bonus points**
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience working in a software development or QA role
- Hands-on experience with Confluence and Jira
- Experience with product management tools like ProductPlan, ProductBoard or Aha
- Knowledge of user-engagement tools, such as Pendo or FullStory
