**Full Job Description Of Education Program Coordinator for 2025 Summer Camp**
**Position Summary**:
The **Education Program Coordinator** is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the educational and recreational activities for the Summer Day Camp. This role ensures that camp programs align with learning objectives, safety standards, and engagement goals while fostering a fun, inclusive, and enriching environment for campers. The coordinator will supervise camp staff, manage schedules, and collaborate with parents, volunteers, and community partners to deliver a high-quality camp experience.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
1.Program Planning: Assist in planning and developing camp programs, activities, and events that align with our mission and goals.
2. Scheduling: Create and manage program schedules, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of activities.
3. Logistics: Coordinate logistics, including transportation, equipment, and supplies, for programs and activities.
4. Staff Support: Assist program staff with preparation, delivery, and evaluation of programs.
6. Evaluation: Assist in evaluating program effectiveness, gathering feedback from campers and staff, and making recommendations for improvements.
7. Risk Management: Ensure that all Summer Camp programs and activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to our risk management policies and procedures.
8. Budgeting: Assist in managing program budgets, ensuring expenses are tracked and stay within allocated limits.
9. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments, such as administration, food service, and maintenance, to ensure seamless program delivery.
**Administration**:
- Schedule & Logistics:
- Develop and maintain the camp calendar, activity rotations, and field trip itineraries.
- Manage supplies, equipment, and resource allocation.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all staff and volunteers complete mandatory background checks and training.
- Maintain accurate records (attendance, medical forms, incident reports).
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Assist in budget planning and track program-related expenses.
- Coordinate with vendors for materials, transportation, and meals as needed.

Contract length: 8 weeks
Pay: $17.20 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week

**Experience**:
Graphic design: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location: In person
**What youth participants are eligible? To be eligible, youth must**:
be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period*
be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment** and
have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
*The youth must be 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The youth may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period.
**International students are not eligible participants. As the objective of the CSJ program is to support youth entering the Canadian labour market, the temporary nature of an international student's time in Canada does not allow for a long-term connection to the labour market.
International students include anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies and who is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. Youth awaiting a refugee status ruling, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, youth visa or work visa are ineligible.
