**What Is The Opportunity?**

Scarborough Transit Connect (STC) was awarded the design and works of the Scarborough Subway Extension project. The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools and other key destinations throughout the city.

As part of the Scarborough Transit Connect project based in Scarborough, we are looking for a qualified Accounting Manager to join our team.

**What You Will Do Here**
- Preparation of regular internal project-level reporting to meet internal and/or client requirements
- Review of monthly project forecasts and management of the month end close process in terms of revenue and profit recognition.
- Responsible to participate in the preparation of quarterly forecasts, and annual business plan.
- Oversee and monitor job costing processes and methodologies, as well as client invoicing processes.
- Participate in the gathering of financial information needed for claims.
- Review contracts and changes for commercial terms, including insurance requirements and advise on how to mitigate risk in these areas
- Support project management team with strategic planning and business case analysis.
- Monitor and review of the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll functions, and liaise with those departments as required.
- Review monthly financial reporting package from a project revenue and margin standpoint and assist with the explanation of variances to business plan and/or forecast.
- Responsible for reviewing cash flow forecasts with partner finance teams.

**What You Bring To The Team**
- 7+ years of professional finance experience, preferably in the Construction industry.
- Degree in Accounting or Business Management required.
- Canadian accounting designation required (CPA) achieved or finalist.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and percentage of completion accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a leadership capacity.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
- Strong knowledge of financial management is required.
- Ability to interact with colleagues in a self-managed team structure.
- Strong modeling capabilities.
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment within a small team.
