We are seeking Camp Coordinators that have, ideally, previously led other camps and staff.

Teacher, lifeguard, ECE, and EA certifications are an asset.

You are aligned with our values and are driven with purpose. You are kind, calm, patient, creative, efficient, reliable, respectful, dedicated, take initiative, and love to build relationships and community.

The position will include, but is not limited to:

- Ensuring everyone's safety, wellness, and engagement
- Ensuring everyone's safety in and around the water. We swim almost every day at lakes and pools.
- Collaboratively leading games and activities
- Developing a safe, inclusive, and fun community for all
- Developing positive relationships with parents, kids, youth, staff, volunteers, and the community
- Anticipating potential challenges and de-escalating and resolving them
- Collaborating with the Assistant Camp Coordinator and Camp Director along with Admin, Camp Leaders, and Volunteers
- Training and mentoring staff and volunteers

Full time from June 26-August 29

The position will be outdoors, leading one of our camps. It is suited for someone with extensive experience and training who will act as a lead guide at one of our camps. We are looking for a calm and collaborative leader.

Extensive knowledge of games is recommended. A police info check and First Aid certification is required. We seek and value a diverse and inclusive community.

Out-trips at our North Burnaby camp includes Barnet Marine Park, Confederation Park, and Kensington Park.

Out-trips at our Tri-Cities Camps include Town Centre Park, CCAC Pool, Spani Pool, Crash Crawly's, Mackin Park, Gates Park, Jungle Jac's, and more. We meet at (or near) the out-trip of the day.

Adventure Play Care Society is a non-profit that operates Rainforest Adventure Camps for kids and youth. These camps are outdoors in and around the Tri-cities exploring some of the most beautiful forests, lakes, beaches, and rivers in the area. Our camps seek to further develop participants' independence, leadership, empathy, resilience, and social growth in a fun, safe, and peaceful setting. Our programs are child-centred. Our mission is to inspire, empower, and create community.
