**Overview**

**Duties**:

- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and presentation of dishes meets the restaurant's expectations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food production
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Create flavourful daily specials and soups while being mindful of food costs and cost effectiveness

**Requirements**:

- Proven ability to take direction
- Able to work independently as well as in a dynamic team
- Prioritizes cleanliness and communication
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and cooking techniques an asset
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking and maintaining attention to detail
