Corpay is currently looking to hire a Product Manager within our PayByPhone division located in Vancouver, BC. The Product Manager guides the strategy, design, and development for one or more PayByPhone products. The Product Manager will lead the process of researching, defining and managing a product's development and lifecycle, from concept through design, delivery, and support. The Product Manager will define and analyze systems requirements, system design, and software requirements. Alongside the various product management tasks, the Product Manager will monitor development progress to ensure timely and efficient product delivery. Being responsible and accountable for the success of the product, the product manager will undertake product reviews using data and insights to monitor feature-level success in order to prove the investment.
What you'll be doing
Responsibilities:
- Develops product strategy and feature roadmap inline with the PayByPhone vision and business objectives- Builds products and a roadmap in concert with a Product Team (a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, marketing, commercial, and customer support personnel)- Develops appropriate planning, prioritization, and release management processes, in tandem with engineering and project leadership, to enable launch of features on time, that customers understand and derive value- Drives superb execution against plan, anticipating risk, and leading discussion via frequent, clear communication, both internally and with customers.- Strives to learn and master the needs and motivations of our customer base, in all geographies, in order to inform continuous improvement- Owns, reviews and obsesses over analytics and success metrics, including evolving existing and/ or creating new tooling to track relevant data where necessary- Conducts and/ or manages research/discovery activities with the appropriate audience in order to properly inform their own work- Passionate about the go to market strategy and positioning of the product in the market, working closely with product marketing and the commercial organization- Writes and maintains excellent product documentation that targets all relevant stakeholders- Collaborates closely with the wider product management team on cross product initiatives in order to ensure accuracy and efficiency in delivery- Embraces a continuous personal development mentality, always seeking to learn and improve in line with current role and future development path- Supports a strong product culture, evangelizes product management practices throughout the organization- Champions a mentoring approach to development throughout the organization- Actively seeks to deeply understand the business by forming strong partnerships with the commercial and finance teams as well as working closely with the senior leadership team
Required Qualifications
Essential knowledge, skills and experience
Demonstrated experience / projects- Experience successfully leading teams that includes engineering and design in order to define, build, and maintain products which are critical to growth, engagement and retention- Experience with products that use externally-consumable APIs, identity management, and security-related features- Has experience of performing well in a large, rapidly expanding organization.
Technical / Hard Skills- A technical background which enables you to contribute meaningfully to projects intended to improve performance, stability, and maintainability- A strong understanding of business and finance which enables you to contribute meaningfully to the commercial success of your products- Excellent communication skills, writing, speaking, presentation- Analytical skills
Years of Experience- 3+ years in product management, ideally in a SaaS environment, or equivalent work experience- 5+ years working in the technology sector
Education (post-secondary, certification, etc.)- No formal qualification required- Qualifications in computer science, business or statistical analysis are desirable
