Our talented and motivated Health and Safety team seeks an additional team member as the Health and Safety Supervisor. This team, in partnership with all of the Leadership is committed to the transformation of our business. As our new Health and Safety(H&S) Supervisor, you will be accountable for supervising 3 Training Coordinators and ensuring overall compliance and safety for our company in partnership with the H&S Manager and the VP H&S.

You will also:

- Follow up on Contractor activities taking place in the plant on daily basis.
- Follow up and maintain records of all maintenance activities.
- Assist in the implementation of new Health & Safety Program within the organization.
- Follow up and maintain all Contractor clearance certificates and check with expiry dates.
- Be regularly present on the floor, conduct inspections, and provide control measures to eliminate the hazards.
- Monitor and control all certification trainings such as JHSC, First Aid, Forklifts, Aerial work platform, etc.
- Conduct racking inspections for all racking systems.
- Conduct any other required safety training.
- Assist and follow up with employees regarding any safety-related issues

You will have a strong understanding of Health and Safety management system designs and processes, such as:

- ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and safety management systems;
- CSA Z1000-14 Occupational health and safety management
- Experience in identifying key OHS performance indicators (KPI’s) and experience with facilitation of machine guarding, risk and severity hazard assessments.
