Heritage Park is seeking a Banquet Assistant to join the team.
- Under the direction of the Executive Sous Chef, the head Steward is responsible for the safe operations of the kitchens: assets, consumables and perishables within the Heritage park and items required in other kitchens and service pantries across the Park_

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensures the proper amount of banquet supplies, linen, china, cutlery and glassware are constantly in good supply in all facilities;
- Assists with table and room set-up for catered events for internal & external clients;
- Assists the Banquet Manager with administrative duties such as inventory counts, product requisitions, ordering, scheduling and payroll;
- Promotes a positive work environment and provides direction to staff to ensure safe food handling techniques, high levels of customer service and adherence to uniform guidelines;
- Assists with the transferring of products and supplies from venue to venue as necessary;
- Assists Banquet Captains and Lead Hands with ensuring all events run smoothly;
- Works with own staff and external providers to ensure banquet venue a/v systems are operating properly;
- Other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience**:
Completion of High School and 2 to 3 years of a combination of banquet serving and supervisory experience. Post-secondary training in the hospitality industry is an asset. Minimum age of 18 years and possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license and Proserve certification are necessary.

**Hours of Work**:
Twenty-five (25) hours per week. Must be prepared to work evenings and weekends and some early mornings.
