**Job Description**:
AECOM is seeking a BIM Specialist to be based in Saskatoon, SK.
**Major Responsibilities**:
Provide technical support to design staff on BIM (Building Information Modelling) as well as CADD(Computer Aided Design and Drafting) systems.Prepare and reviews models and sheets for construction projects, primarily for buildings projects.Prepare and review reports, technical specifications, calculations and building code analyses.Lead inter-disciplinary co-ordination and clash detection.Coach and train staff on the correct use and implementation of widely accepted industry standards.Perform quality reviews on projects and ensure standards compliance.
**Qualifications**:
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:
Technical Diploma in a related field (Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical).4+ years of experience in a construction related field.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
Systemic approach to professional work and knowledge of both CADD and BIM accepted standards.Well versed in both AutoCAD and Revit. Skilled with BIM 360 and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud.Works well under general supervision. Team player. Ability to self-manage. Attention to detail.Requires excellent interpersonal communication skills. Must be well organised and self-disciplined.Knowledge of industry standards such as IPMS, AIA Layering, LOD Spec, MasterFormat, UniFormat,OmniClass, and the National CADD Standard (NCS) Uniform Drawing System (UDS).Construction Documentation; ideally a Construction Documentation Technologist with CSI/CSC.Is already or is working towards Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) with CSI/CSC.Capacity and vision for development of BIM normative methodologies, processes and procedures.Knowledge in developing BIM strategies will be especially valued.
