**Salary**: Payband I (Min) $36.19 (Max) $41.94

**What you will do**:
Under the general supervision of the Associate Director, Advising & Career Services, and in collaboration with the Project Manager, Career & Placement Portal, System Facilitators, Career & Placement Portal, Career Engagement & Education Specialist, Career & Student Success Advisors (CSSAs), Manager, Student Systems and Process Integration (SSE), and Academic Faculties placement offices, the Student & Employer Relations Specialist builds and cultivates relationships with employers, current students, alumni, and campus partners.

Working through an equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging lens (EDIB), the incumbent builds more robust pathways to experiential learning and graduate employment, by leading activity out of Humber College’s CareerConnect Job Portal (training, module implementation, user engagement), ensuring responsive services for users (students, alumni, faculty, staff, employers), as well as ensuring employers feel prepared to help students navigate the employment search landscape and leverage tools to increase their rate of success. The incumbent fosters relationships with employers, expanding the value and quality of employment opportunities, and engages industry and community in a more seamless manner.

**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**

4 year Degree in Education, HR, Career and Work Counsellor, Student Affairs/Services, Project Management, Information Science, Business Administration, Psychology, Social Work, Communication or Counselling Techniques.

Additional qualifications (diploma, degree, graduate certificate) required in in Human Resources, Project Management, Public Relations, Marketing, or academic advising, career coaching or counselling techniques offered through but not limited to Conestoga, Fanshawe, George Brown, University of Calgary etc.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years' experience
- Experience in Education Sector is preferred
- Extensive experience leading and developing programming for equity-deserving job seekers, including but not limited to, Indigenous learners, Black, African & Caribbean, 2SLGBTQ+, newcomers, international students, and learners with disabilities, within an anti-oppressive, culturally affirming, and trauma-informed framework.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or lived experience navigating various employment landscapes as an equity-deserving job seeker, including ability to understand cultural complexity, and institutional barriers.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, including facilitation and negotiation skills with proven efficacy;
- Outstanding leadership skills, combined with respect for decision-making through consultation and consensus-building, are also required;
- Honesty, integrity and a combination of education, experience, and achievements that will enhance the ability to communicate a vision and command respect within the college are essential;
- Excellent analytical and organizational abilities;
- Good systems knowledge and some experience working with external providers;
- Strong project coordination skills;
- Knowledge of the communication methodology and best practices;
- Sound knowledge of student & employer relations, Humber processes, and best practice in the area of student success & employer relations;
- Ability to adapt to an enviro
