We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated **Yard Operator **to join our growing team in our Distribution Centre pipe yard located in Mississauga The Yard Operator will be responsible for accurately and quickly servicing a very fast paced client base while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards in the industry. Must have a positive demeanour and work well with others.
- Picking, transfers and sales orders in an accurate and proficient manner
- Loading Flatbed trailers with a combination of Pipe and Skids meeting MTO Standards - Training is provided
- Perform Daily Safety Pre-Inspections of your Propane Counterbalance Forklift
- Work proficiently against Productivity and Quality targets
- Maintain a strict housekeeping standard
- Report safety and security issues to your direct supervisor
- All of the above will be performed in various weather
- Other duties as assigned
- Communicate stock errors and discrepancies clearly and effectively with team members

**Requirements**:

- Completion of a high-school Diploma (OSSD)
- Minimum 2-year experience operating Counterbalance, Order Picker and Raymond Reach.
- Minimum 2-year experience working in a Yard distribution environment
- Proven ability supporting/working with RF equipment and remote printers
- Accurate and detail oriented
- Skilled in managing competing priorities and problem solving under mínimal supervision
- Ability to be dependable, punctual, Multitask-able and proactive to meet deadlines
- Operator will be cross-trained and have certifications for: Counterbalance, Order Picker, and Raymond Reach.

**Working conditions**:
Incumbent spends most of their time in our Yard environment requiring varying degrees of considerable physical labour as an operator, involves at times performing in unfavourable or difficult weather conditions (extreme heat in the summer and rain/snow fall in winter). Yard workers need to be prepared and equipped to perform despite difficult work conditions. Lifting, pulling and pushing varied amount of products weighing between 5-50lbs. About 5% of their time may include ad-hoc functions such as: cycle counts, 5S, etc. Personal safety is affected by dust and traffic caused by other forklift operators, operators need to be visually attentive of their surroundings.

40 hour work week - 10 hour shifts - Friday - Monday
- Must have the ability to work overtime
- Must be willing to work flex hours in the summer if needed
