As Training Director leads and manages Davie’s Training Department. This department ensures the development, coordination, and delivery of training for all Davie employees, including production, maintenance, supervisory, technical, administrative, management and executive personnel. The training covers technical fields, occupational health and safety, management, and leadership. Specifically you will:

- Hire, train, engage, and supervise a team of trainers, training advisors, and support staff to facilitate training activities.
- Manage all aspects of the training lifecycle, including assessment of training needs, development of training programs, delivery of training activities, evaluation, and improvement.
- Identify key training areas to support the company’s strategy.
- Select external training service providers.
- Maximize the use of training delivery methods based on best practices and knowledge in the field, especially new technologies, to optimize training costs to quickly and efficiently train a large number of people.
- Ensure all employees receive the required training for their positions, as set out in the training matrices.
- Ensure the effective use of the Oracle-HCM platform for recruitment management.
- Monitor annual training budgets.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of training activities.
- Report on training performance indicators.

**Requirements**:

- University studies in administration with a specialization in human resources, or equivalent in another relevant discipline.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in training roles or in human resources with a significant focus on training in growing companies and/or in job markets requiring specialized knowledge and skills.
- Minimum of five years of experience supervising a work team.
- Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of the use of technologies in corporate training.
- Positive and energetic attitude to engage a team facing a significant workload.
- Superior ability to prioritize effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple files simultaneously.
- Superior coaching skills.
- Strong writing skills in French and functional proficiency in English to effectively communicate with newcomers who are not yet fluent in French.
