**ABOUT CUBICFARMS**
**THE ROLE: HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER**
We are seeking you, an experienced Health and Safety Manager, to lead, support, and coordinate a portfolio of safety programs to improve worker safety at CubicFarms. This role includes advising on safety technical issues and engaging the business on program development, implementation, sustainment and assurance, and communicates requirements, responsibilities, processes, procedures, and supporting documentation.
The Health and Safety Manager will also provide CubicFarms departments with execution level plans, processes, and procedures to meet the requirements of local safety regulations and CubicFarms’ Safety Framework.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:
- Associate’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety is a major requirement.
- Level 2 or Level 3 First Aid Certificate.
- A professional certification in health and safety management will be an added advantage.
- Progressive experience in a previous similar role required.
- Experience working in food processing, manufacturing, or construction an asset.
- Driver's license and able to drive to locations in Langley and Pitt Meadows.
- Able to work legally in Canada.

**WHAT WILL YOU DO**:
- Develop and write program requirements and other safety documents for workplace hazards and provide strategic, proactive options for mitigating the risk related to those hazards.
- Leads safety program development, implementation, sustainment, and assurance using a predefined and consistent process to ensure business group engagement, clear sustainment expectations and on-going alignment to safety governance, roles, and responsibilities.
- Chair the Safety Committee and maintain safety meeting minutes.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders to develop and sustain practical, workable solutions to meet asset management, operational and other business needs and to support CubicFarms in meeting its obligations as an Owner and Employer under the Workers Compensation Act and regulations.
- Supporting the senior leadership team and their delegates to carry out their safety program responsibilities.
- Tracking and coordinating reports on performance metrics, including interpreting results and recommending actions.
- Monitoring and responding to regulatory changes, communicating the impacts and supporting business groups to respond.
