Billing Supervisor

**Rosedale Transport is a family owned business since 1969. With 15 terminals across North America we can provide and service our customers freight knowing their product will arrive quickly and safe to its destination**.

Rosedale Transport in Mississauga, ON requires a Billing Supervisor.

**Shift: Afternoons**

**Hours: Monday - Friday - 3:00pm Start - Flexible start time and Sunday coverage when needed**

**Salary - $60,000 - $65,000**

**Requirements**:

- Billing experience in the transportation industry (min. 2 years).
- 1-year supervisory experience considered an asset.
- Clear and professional communication (verbal and written)
- Skilled in calculating cubed weights, percentages and taxes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Sound knowledge and experience with Truckmate Billing software and asset.
- Geographical knowledge of Canada and GTA/ Ontario.
- Knowledge and ability to process US loads/ cross border shipments.
- Ability to work with time lines and detailed orientated.
- Strong keyboarding skills are essential - Accuracy and speed.
- Transportation knowledge/ experience preferred

**Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Analyzing operations and identifying areas for improvement.
- Investigating and resolving billing issues
- Communicating new instructions/ information to employees.
- Arranging and managing cross training within the department
- Professionally interacting with employees and other company stakeholders on billing issues as required
- Maintaining and reviewing billing metrics/ employee metrics ensuring departmental goals are being met
- Monitoring bill auditing
- Managing scheduling for all employees - vacation/ time off requests, attendance
- Recruitment, selection and training of new billing department personnel
- Setting out clear goals and expectations
- coaching employees through the billing process
- providing trouble shooting support to all employees
- Planning and conducting meetings with the billing staff to ensure compliance with established practices
- Developing and updating training materials and departmental procedures as needed
- Adhering to and enforcing the policies and procedures for the billing department
- Completing payroll for billing staff - calculating and entering time cards.
