Last Spike Brewery (LSB) is a Calgary-based contract brewery that specializes in the brewing and packaging of beer and other beverages. With our continued growth, we are looking to add to our experienced team in the Brewing department by hiring a Brewer.

The Brewer is responsible for the brewing/blending process from start to finish, ensuring all beverages are nurtured from idea to reality, meeting all quality and specification requirements throughout the production cycle, whilst maintaining brewery operational efficiencies and cleanliness, and assisting with packaging operations as and when required.
**Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications**.**

**Duties and Responsibilities**;
Brew beer/blend according to the schedule, recipe/brew/blend-sheets, and direction from our Brewing Manager - including milling, mashing, lautering, wort boiling, cooling, and transfer from brewhouse to fermentation tanks.
Handling and preparation of raw materials for brewing/blending process.

Perform cellaring duties including tank transfers.

Meticulously keep production records.

Monitor quality control and specification requirements including but not limited to temperature, pressure, gravities, DO, and carbonation levels.

Follow cleaning and maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment exceeds cleanliness requirements and operates at maximum efficiencies.

Provide position back-fill as and when required.

Participate in projects as and when required.

Assist with general brewery operations as and when required.

Work with our Leadership Team and other departmental leaders to ensure compliance to the predefined Food Safety Program.

Work with our Leadership Team to get the required certifications and Health and Safety awareness to perform this role safely.

Other duties as assigned.
