**Position Overview**:
Dorset Timber Mart is looking for a reliable and hardworking **Yard Laborer** to join our team. This full-time position involves hands-on work in our lumber yard, where you’ll play a key role in supporting daily operations, ensuring a safe and efficient yard, and helping with customer service when needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in **loading and unloading** materials such as lumber, building supplies, and other products
- Organize and **maintain the yard** to ensure cleanliness and efficiency
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely (training provided if needed)
- Assist customers in locating and loading purchased materials
- Inspect incoming deliveries and **stock materials** in designated areas
- Ensure proper care and handling of all products to prevent damage
- Adhere to safety standards and **maintain a safe work environment**

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Ability to perform **physical labor** (lifting, bending, moving heavy items)
- Strong work ethic and the ability to **work well with a team**:

- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- Valid **G license** preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Forklift experience is an asset but not required—**training will be provided**:

- Previous experience in a lumber yard or similar environment is a plus but not mandatory
