We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team as **Family Support Workers** in **Red Deer, Alberta.** In this role, you'll be pivotal in one of our Family Preservation program homes by offering family-centered, trauma-informed support to a parent/guardian and their child. You will strengthen a parent's capacity while ensuring the youth's safety, stability, and healthy development. By providing supported=parenting coaching and infant/child care, you will contribute to keeping families safely together. With guidance from a dedicated Family Support Team Lead, you'll embark on a rewarding journey of growth and impact at CarePros.

**Available Work Schedules**
- Day (7:30 am - 3:30 pm) 6 days on, 3 days off
- Evening (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) 6 days on, 3 days off
- Overnight Awake (10:30 pm - 8:00 am) 6 days on, 3 days off
- Temporary Casual (minimum three shifts per month)

**Your Typical Day**
- Establish a relationship to guide and support the parent/guardian through coaching, role modelling, and positive reinforcement
- Use a company vehicle to drive the family to appointments and community/cultural outings
- Facilitate daily routines with the guardian
- Provide coaching on meal prep/planning and bottle hygiene
- Help to facilitate and attend appointments
- Complete and maintain documentation of daily activities and observations
- Participate in ongoing development of supported-parenting plans and safety plans
- Perform routine general program responsibilities such as cleaning and organization

**What You Bring To The Table**
- Direct verifiable experience working with disabled adults with complex needs
- Knowledge of disability care best practices, processes, and procedures
- Family centered, trauma informed care understanding and proven experience
- Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Disability Studies or Social Work is an asset
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong technology and computer skills
- Mental Health First Aid is an asset

**Must-Haves**
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s Licence, 10-Year Alberta Driver’s Abstract, and Alberta auto insurance with $2 million liability in your name
- A clear Child & Youth Intervention Records Check with the Government of Alberta
- Valid Standard First Aid + AED with CPR Level C
- Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check from the last 6 months
