ESTIMATOR / Project Manager

Concrete Inc is an Edmonton owned precast concrete manufacturer. We have an open position in our growing team for an Estimator/Project Manager.

As Estimator / Project Manager you take control of your projects from the initial customer contact, straight through to completion. You will assume a leadership role and be a main point of contact for customers, working with a small, supportive team in our West End office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor tender sites to identify opportunities. Contact potential customers and establish open communication and relationship.
- Maintain a tender schedule, including tracking of addendums to ensure appropriate time to compile & review tenders and meet timelines.
- Download, organize and review of tender documents to establish scope of work.
- Prepare competitive and profitable estimates encompassing all possible aspects of the project including supply, installation and accessories.
- Perform accurate qty take offs
- Diligent follow up with customers for quotes & maintain files on projects.
- Maintain an up to date and high level of technical knowledge & market awareness to ensure estimating accuracy and competitive pricing with profit maximization.
- Project Management responsibilities include:

- Create accurate shop drawings for customer approval and production
- Maintain project history including profitability
- Coordinate customer schedule & ensure required documents processed according to schedule
- Coordinate with logistics for adherence o customer schedule

**Qualifications**:

- Min. 2 years experience with:

- Concrete structures in any capacity including Project Management, Estimating etc.
- Experience with AutoCad
- Quantity Takeoffs & Estimation Bachelors or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (Experience with Precast is highly valued)
- Proficient with reading blueprints.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English language, verbal & written.
- Understanding of basic construction contract knowledge
- Ability to work under timelines, multitask and adapt to changing priorities & customer schedules.
- Proficient with Excel, Word & Outlook. Able to create & maintain spreadsheets.
- Experience with rebar estimating a strong asset.
- Ability to be a positive team member and able to work autonomously.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
