**Job Description** WHAT'S THE JOB?**

This position assist with the execution of catering services, fostering client relations and team training and guidance to ensure consistent adherence to quality and standards.Specifically:

- Strict attention to detail is required for this position: in food prep, execution and client/ customer relationships
- Train & direct staff as required to ensure that established standards are met
- Be a model of professionalism and etiquette for the team
- Motivate, coach and develop all team members to ensure on-going optimum service
- Maintain full & complete knowledge of the catering menu and serving portions.
- Make use of checklists for all catering service set-up
- Ensure all catering events and services are ready no later than 15 minutes in advance of required service time. No exceptions
- Assist with booking and guiding all agency employees. Ensure clear direction is given as relating to event details, uniform standards and expected etiquette.
- Ensure that established uniform standards are followed at all times; no deviations.
- Provide suggestions for improvements
- In the absence of the Manager, the Catering Co-ordinator shall act on his/her behalf.
- Schedule team members as required; at minimum make recommendations to the manager to ensure best practices
- Ensure compliance to Dana merchandising standards for catering set up
- Ensure clear and consistent signage at all services
- Keeping the Catering board / binder up-to-date
- Assigning production sheets to appropriate kitchen departments
- Data entry and support to accounting department as required
- Liaise with catering customers as required to ensure satisfaction with product delivery and service standards
