Your responsibilities?

Reporting to Alexandra, the Purchasing Manager, our **Buyer** is responsible for supplying a range of references according to a production schedule in order to meet the needs of the Lachine plant.

- Identify the needs for components used for production lines according to MRP recommendations and validate these recommendations
- Issue or modify purchase orders
- Validate with suppliers the delivery dates of orders to be received. Inform supervisor of any changes to delivery dates for receivables that could delay previously planned production
- Create and implement procurement strategies that will enable the procurement department to achieve its objectives of cost reduction and regularity of supply
- Monitor suppliers' compliance with specifications with respect to quantities, quality, prices and delivery conditions and take corrective action in the event of discrepancies

Who are we looking for?

- Academic background: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or equivalent (inventory, procurement).
- Experience 3 years in procurement, in a production plant an asset
- Bilingual (French/English), oral and written
- Knowledge of JD Edwards ERP software an asset
- Know the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, Autonomous, proactive, effective organization, well-structured work method and attention to detail
